Oahu shipwreck for scuba diving Hawaii style!

Exploring the YO-257 with PADI advanced open water students!

Dive site one - YO-257 / San Pedro - Viz great 80' - A fantastic dive today with little or no current. A eagle ray was swimming arong us as we descended down the line, great! Swam over to the san Pedro and was loaded with turtles today. A few eels to take pictures of and of course explore the ship wreck.

Dive site two - Nautical reef - Viz great 60' - A nice shallow reef with lots of small fish about. Lots of huge moray eels arround waitind for dinner.

YO-257 WreckThe YO-257 is arguably the most exciting ship wreck to dive. There are actually two ship wrecks to see at this site: The San Pedro (80 feet long) rests only 30 meters from the YO-257 (190 feet long). This is definitely a two-for-one dive. You can expect to see white-tip reef sharks, eagle rays, and even get your picture taken by the occupants of the Atlantis Submarine. That's right, the tourists will be inside the submarine looking out at you. Maximum depth is 107 feet.

Nautical ReefThis is a horseshoe-shaped reef with a resident white-tip reef shark. You can expect to see eels, puffer fish, butterfly fish and green sea turtles. Maximum depth is 30 feet.
